Switching To Fleece

I will be switching over to fleece soon. Will be buying the cheaper kind. What is the difference between pill and no pill fleece. Which is better to use?

I have found no pill fleece to be easier to spot clean

I find that both kinds work but the polar or anti pill fleece is the most widely used.
