So here’s a question, recently I’ve kept the inside of the boys cage pretty much the same. Same placement of hides, hay etc. But tonight I decided to switch it up and move things around and change some of what was in there. One of them is busy doing laps and the other one seems quite happy, but do they generally like their cages being changed around or are they more creatures of habit? 🤔

That was always my assumption, but then someone at work told me it must be the guinea pig equivalent of Asda’s changing all the shelves round and I’ve never been too sure since 😂

I think it might depend on the age and personality of the piggies, I change the furniture round in our smaller cage at every clean-out and the piggies find it very exciting! But our big cage for the main herd I dont alter the furniture too much as we have a partially sighted piggy and a fussy older lady who both get a bit upset and just stand in the middle of the floor wheeking for help when things arent in the expected place :)

My boys are only one but have had many many different set ups and are getting a new one later in the week. They find it very exciting :)
