Hi guys!
I am switching my pigs from wood chips to fleece as I am just a bit concerned about the dust with one of my older guinea pigs!

Is there anything I should prepare for or know or do I just plonk them in and let them settle?

You need to wick the fleece first and that means wash it about three times without fabric softener so that it soaks urine away and it doesn’t pool on the surface. Not all types of fleece wick well though.
You also need to ensure that you have an absorbent layer underneath for the pee to wick down to - such as puppy pads or an absorbent mattress topper

I use puppy pad, extra newspaper in parts where they wee and poo a lot and then fleece on top. I find the fluffier fleece works best!
