Well, I started out with bedding in Sweets cage... I loved it and all but the pan at the bottom wasn't deep enough so whenever he'd have his little bursts of speed the bedding would fly EVERYWHERE and it was just a big mess (I partly blame the bedding, it was seriously awful stuff) Anyways, so he has been on fleece for two months now and I finally decided I hate vacuuming the fleece everyday to get rid of the poos and trying to keep up with keeping them clean and dry all the time. So now he is back to bedding and honestly, I have never seen this little guy so happy. I think he just loves bedding so he can flick it everywhere and make a big mess rolleyes but i'd rather vacuum the floor then the cage everyday.

And another thing...

He has a top shelf in his cage.. and the hay racks top is even with the shelf, and he's not figured out that he can climb on TOP of the hay rack and lay in it and eat :))... what a lazy guy, good grief! Lol

I see your point vacumming fleece all the time.
Also thankz you just helped me decide to stick to bedding!:)

Like I totally loved it at first and then the more I had to clean and do laundry I was just like UGH this is so not worth it, and where he spends most of his day running around my house on the carpet then why bother with fleece lol and he loves his bedding :)

I changed from megazorb and hay to fleece and just switched back! The fleece looked lovely when it was freshly laid down, but after several hours it looked awful. I put the megazorb back in today, yes it blows around the patio but the piggies seem to liek it and I can fill their hay racks, tubs and beds with lots of hay for them to burrow into:))

I LOVED the look of the fleece :) I found it habitual to keep going to walmart to find some cheap beautiful fleece just so he can use it as his bathroom lol

I'm still undecided - I love the look of fleece and much less mess than megazorb, Monty seems happy on anything but today he has been that sweaty I have had to remove his cozy which rather upset him, only while it's so hot.

It is also needing changing totally every 1-2 days - otherwise he is damp/smelly - he does sometimes get impacted/loose too and does all his poohs in his cozy so that gets very smelly fast and when I'm out at work 8-5.30 I do notice the pong when I return! It's not a problem but if we get a fly in the room I shall worry.

Washing in dry weather is fine since I got pet hair filter bag but in winter all the drying will be a pain as our dryer is a washer/dryer and not very good.

When I go away in August for 3 days I know he will need to be on megazorb as Mum will not want to sort the fleece and spot clean.

Will see how it goes - if he is going to get so damp/sweaty it can't be good for him.

But not decided yet!
