Just to add to all the things that I need to do, I decided to sign up for Swim22 for Diabetes UK, as this is a charity close to my heart. My eldest daughter, Hannah, has type 1 diabetes. Over the next three months, I need to swim the quivalent of swimming the English Channel. I've done two swims so far, neither a very long swim, as I am having to fit it in between work, vet appointments and also trying to get my last course module finished. I am determined to get this done though! My Just Giving Page is here, if anyone wanted to sponsor me. Support Debbie in the Diabetes UK Swim22 2023

Wow Debbie! That is quite an achievement to take on. I'm sure you can do it!

Good for you Debbie
I already support Diabetes UK as I come from a family of diabetics.
There’s a lot of type 1 diabetes on Hannah’s dad’s side of family. Although he hasn’t got it, one of his brothers and one of his sisters does. Two uncles also have it. Ellie doesn’t have it, and I’m hoping none of her three children will get it.

Huge thanks to everyone who sponsored me to do Swim22 for Diabetes UK. Today is the last day of the challenge and I fully expected to be spending most of it in the pool, trying to get it completed. I was, therefore, very surprised when I checked my progress, yesterday, after logging yet another swim and being a bit disappointed that I had had to finish a bit earlier than I had wanted, due to the pool becoming quite crowded, to find that I had already hit the 22 miles and had done a bit more besides!
I would love to hit my £100 target, but I am still £24 short. I know times are difficult, but if anyone could just donate £1, it would be amazing and would help me get closer to that target!
