Swapping from vetbed to fleece

2 of my guinea-pigs hutches are on vetbed but because it's so thick it gets quite hot for them but I don't want them to be on shavings but do you think fleece is better than vetbed during the summer? I really want to give them a different bedding during this hot weather because the vetbed is very warm during the day.

hi. I don't know about vetbed but my pigs are quite happy being on fleece even in this heat (though I do have their cages in the garage while it's so hot)
