However, any lumps or swellings needs to be checked and diagnosed by a vet. Please do make an appointment for the check to be carried out.
Let us know how you get on and I hope he is ok

Hello and welcome to the forum. Poor boy. It definitely looks sore. Good luck at the vets. I hope it’s something easily resolved.

Thank you for the replies, yes definitely sore but he hasn't changed mood wise still eating, popcorning etc. I have just had a video call with one of the vets at vetnow who was very helpful and she believes it could be a scuff or he's been scratched while playing and has swelled up, maybe starting to get infected. So they have suggested a physical inspection, she didn't believe it's to the point of needing and emergency out of hours appointment so suggested booking a day one in the morning, which I will do. Thanks again everyone

Good luck and please do come back and let us know how you get on.
We are all here to support you.

Aw poor chappie. Hope the vet gets him on the road to recovery speedily x

Hey everyone, just to let you know, my Guinea pig Snowee is okay! Myself and my partner took him to the vets today and the vet said he just had "really big nuts" - haha 🤣 What we we're worried about was a possible abscess or something more serious, but the vet assured us it was just a superficial scuff or scratch. Thank you so much everyone for your help, better to be safe than sorry. We also recommend the vetsnow online video chat service as we were able to speak to a vet via video call within in the hour and they also refund the video call if you follow up with a face to face appt. So thanks again everyone x
