My guinea pig hasn't been eating for about three weeks now. I've been syringe feeding him food and water. We went to a vet about two weeks ago and not a very good one. There are no exotic pet vets near me so a normal vet was all I could do since I don't drive and my mom doesn't too. We went there and he checked his teeth (only the front ones) and said that everything looked fine and that it's probably a stomach problem so he prescribed him antibiotics and some other medications I can't remember. That didn't help. My mom texted another vet on social media and she said that it is most likely his back teeth. Right now my mom found a good exotic pet vet two hours away. My aunt can drive me there so everything is planned, but the appointment is on Saturday and I can see that something is causing him pain especially when I syringe feed him. Is there anything I can help him with while I'm waiting to go or is there nothing I can do and I'm just gonna have to wait?

Sorry I can't advise but just to say that sounds so stressful :( Well done finding the exotic vet.
Has your piggy got pain relief?

If you can't get to the vet before Saturday, you will need to ensure that your piggy has good pain relief. If the vet you saw recently, didn't give any, then you need to ask them for some. If I find that syringing normal syringe food is hurting the guinea pig, I use vegetable baby foods, which are much smoother and the guinea pig can manage them better.

Thank you very much. Unfortunately, I can't go to the vet and ill have to wait till saturday, but ill try the baby food and see if he seems more comfortable.

Update:
Tried the baby food and he seems to be much more comfortable and he wants it more. Thank you!
