Cream is now home, healthy and happy. Her surgery went very well and the vet sent us home with Oxbow Critical Care and Meloxicam to relieve pain. On the way home, she was already eating the hay in her carrier. Put her in her cage and she’s been moving around, eating hay and eating some of the small bit of lettuce I put in there for the other piggy. Although I’d expect her to be in a bit of discomfort, she keeps making this sort of short chutting sound as she eats and moves. I’m not too worried about it considering she just had a surgery but I’d wonder if anybody else has had their cavy do this after a surgery? The vet has already given her her meds and I will give them to her when needed. If anything else strange comes up, I’ll definitely check up to make sure it is okay! :)

I'm so glad it went well and she's eating again already 😃 I'm not sure about the chutting hopefully someone more experienced can help you on that
