Support For 2 X 5 Cage Lid Please Help

Me and my boyfriend will be moving in together soon and my biggest worry is that he has a cat and my cage has no lid. I have a lid on order but I'm sure it won't hold the cats weight without support.

I overlapped some C&C grids to re-enforce my lid and it over laps with the sides for support too. Luckily my cat never goes on the cage but I had planned on getting some step stools to go in there as strategic columns to support the lid structure so that's what I would do It also gives them somewhere extra to hide!

You can get the bars on ebay from some one trading as grendle, the are also useful for supporting lofts. The lids from C&C cages comes with one, their lids also have overlapped grids for extra support.

The price seemed reasonable, and their shipping was fast.
Unfortunately they initially shipped my package to Swaziland by mistake (I actually live in Switzerland), but when I complained their customer service in getting the whole thing sorted was very good.
Hopefully this won't be an issue if you live in the UK.
