Hi,

I've recently been given a bag of mixed dry flowers that contain sunflower blossoms...some places ive read said that guinea pigs can't have them (i know they can't have the seeds) but others are saying they can have the petals and green bits...sprouts I think...I'm unsure as its not something I've every given them due to allergies (myself) are they allowed the petals to eat? Any info would be great

Yes, the dried petals can be fed, if they are dried in a way that's suitable for feeding.
I have given the petals to my piggies from time to time, but they never really warmed to them.

I have a bag of dried sunflower petals theta i occasionally sprinkle over the hay for all of my animals.
The piggies aren't overly bothered, but they are safe to feed.
Petals only though - I wouldn't feed the stems or green parts.
