Summer

Hey everyone,
It is nearly summer wear i live and the guinea pigs live outside. i heard that guinea pigs get really really sick in summer because of the hotness! ( i have 13 guinea pigs, 2 are 2 day old babies and 2 big cages ( girls in one boys in the other)
Do i leave the guinea pigs outside?
Do i bath them a lot to make it cooler for them?
what do i do?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

Could you update you profile with your location please.

Guinea Pigs don't like extremes of temperatures so if it is too hot they may get heat stroke. Anything above 25 C / 75 F is hot for piggies and that they need protection from the sun at all times. I was looking after my bosses piggies during the hottest part of the summer his year. Although the UK doesn't get as hot as some places I the world, I put frozen bottles of water wrapped in fleece in the cages. All cages were in shade or covered completely during the hottest part of the day.
