I have an indoor hutch for my piggie.
however as its coming up to the summer and they are kept in my boyfriends bedroom.

is it recommended to keep them outside in the shed?

By an indoor hutch do you mean a cage? Piggies are very happy outdoors in the summer, no need to be in a shed, but they will need a strong wooden hutch away from direct sunlight and sheltered from rain. You will also need a cover to pull down over the front at night to keep out drafts. Secure locks too. xx

It's up to you. Mine are indoors all year round. As long as the hutch/cage is out of direct sunlight, and you can open the windows to the room and set a fan up nearby to keep the air circulating, they will be fine with staying indoors. I do like to let in as much fresh air as possible, so I tend to open the windows wide, or let them have a few hours in a run in the garden in the shade.
