Right i’m making plans for a guinea pig cage out of an old wardrobe, my problems are that if i’ve calculated correctly i’m going to be slightly short on the square foot needed for two pigs which may just ruin everything ! rolleyes

So firstly i think i’ve done this right so please correct me if i’m wrong.

Width = 17.5"
Length = 59"

17.5 x 59 = 1032.5

1032.5 ÷ 144 = 7.2 square feet.

The current cage i have is a 2 x 4 (which i think makes 10.5 square foot.) But this cage would work out at just 1.5 x 4 grids once rounded...

Now i know that cages should have at least one level the correct size for the guinea pigs housed but if i added a 2x2 top level that would add another 5.25 square foot just on a separate level.

Do you think this would be suitable ? :{

This works out as dimensions between a 140cm and 150cm cage - so yes, fine!
