suitable run?

The first hutch, is debatable. Simply because if it rains the inside bit looks to be small for two piggies. :/

The second one is not suitable because for a pair it needs to be 120cms by 60cms (unfortunatly, second levels dont count because piggies run laps to keep fit, so they need the space on one leve. So even though the second level it great to have, its not counted as floor space. :) )

Hope that helped... sorry to burst your bubble.

no that's finee! i'd much rather know than buy it then find out!
do you know what a suitable one would be? i've been looking for AGES haha.
i really want them to go outside now...not because i don't love having them in the house, but it think it'd be nice for them instead of having to stay inside all the time!

i'm guessing this one is going to be 20cm to short?!

it would be too small, also beware that they give the outside measurements not the internal measurements.

you could always keep your piggies indoors and let them out in just a run during the day if your at home to supervise?

Wouldn't it be better to keep them inside and let them out during the day with your supervision? Perhaps you could find a covered pen for them to stay in, so you could leave them outside alone for a few hours? I'm not sure what kind of wildlife you have there in the UK, but I would be afraid of coyotes, raccoons, wild dogs or even small bears hurting the piggies, since I'm sure there is no hutch that is 100% wild animal proof.. especially from raccoons, what with their little human-like hands and all!
I'm sorry, but outside hutches for guinea pigs are highly frowned-upon here in the US.

I'm looking forward to the light evenings so my pigs can have some outdoor time. I leave at 7.45 and it's too chilly to be out then for the rest of the day

In the UK the only real concern for a piggy in a secure hutch is foxes and with suitable measures a hutch can be effectively fox-proofed. Free ranging pigs (in uncovered runs) may also be a risk from birds of prey and cats though. This is something the OP would have to take into consideration but plenty of people in the UK do safely keep their piggies (and bunnies) outside. I would say there are benefits of having indoor pigs and an outdoor run though, I'd probably do this if I had a garden.
