Tomorrow i'm taking the girl's cage to pieces and reassembling it to make it all more stable etc. except i'm also looking at some new ideas to improve it.

I can't make it any wider or longer, they already have a loft, but the cage is raised.

I just need a new way of organising things to make it more fun for them, and if I can't extend it anymore then I need some new ideas.

Suggestions welcome!

Have been trawling the members gallery already!

Could you make a full second level? If you have enough grids you could do two levels and cut hole in correx to add a ramp?

Was considering putting the base of their old 100cm cage as a third floor on the bottom, but have yet to work out the logistics of making a ramp etc.

what about a fleece forest? Mine have them and love them. I have it attached at the side with a grid at the other side for support and i can just lift it to clean underneath. You could make bunk beds with the grids .

I think the fleece forests are a great idea, piggies sooo love to have to push past things with their heads.
If you cant make their accomodation any bigger then maybe you could make things more fun for them by having a selection of toys, tunnels, houses, etc you can rotate each day. Even a very simple new object such as a paper bag can create a lot of interest.

Thanks for all of your suggestions! I have taken down their loft, and used the base of their old cage as a sort of basement, they have a lot more room and seem to like it, we'll see after they go to bed tonight!
