Blaze is becoming such a little escape artist.
Until yesterday, and even yesterday night he was willing to sit on me or walk down to his towel in order to go the loo, but stayed on the sofa.

this morning he escaped by jumping of the sofa once and THEN trying to escape again several times.

this isn't my blaze-boy,
But I am just worried about him and the way he changed over night..

i am no expert but could it be hormonal? would blaze just be a craving teenager? if you're concerned get him checked by the vet. is he doing anything else unusual for him? hoping someone comes along soon that can help you. hugs and cuddles :smitten: :smitten: :smitten:

He is probably just having an off day. Like humans do, some days mine just need to be left alone and rest.

As much as guinea pigs are in general friendly and sociable they are still animals and a long way from being truly domesticated to the extent of dogs and cats. Do not get m wrong they do like human contact but on the same note they also need time to what they are, animals.

They need to be allowed to at times just be a animal, watch over their cages and be with their own kind. Same as some days we all feel like hiding away, staying in bed or just having a lazy day.

On the medical side of things, usually when they are ill (in my experience) they tend to become quiet and not move about much.

I would say 24 hours in the cage with just pellet food and water and observe him, if you still think he is acting odd tomorrow, then maybe consider a vet but if he is being active and running about I would not be too concerned right now.
