Rewind a couple of weeks ago and I thought I was gonna lose my darling Crunchie. She had a major bladder flare, the lining was so thickened on xray it was close to the thickness of her leg bones! She was in so much pain she was hunched up and wouldn't walk. Because she was so inactive, all her joints seized up from her arthritis and it was absolutely horrible. The vet assured me that once I got her bladder under control and she started moving that everything else would come. She was completely off her food, bloated at one point and miserable. It was a sleepless few days of lots of pain meds, fluids and syringe feeds but bit by bit we got there and my girl is running around once more. She'll be 8 in 2 months and to see her back again when I didn't think I would is just the best feeling ever.

Tonight she was in the deepest sleep and her bad mum had to wake her for meds and veggies.. she's just a wee soul!

She is so beautiful, she is lucky she has you to care for her. I know from my own ongoing experience how draining regularly medicating these little munchkins can be. Sending you both hugs.

Thanks everyone, she's just a wee love and is very precious to me. We're adding in more herbal remedies to try and keep all the inflammation at bay, but going very slowly as to not upset her. Her drinking has still to return to normal so we're still on 4 very watery 15ml syringe feeds a day. Hopefully that'll return soon too!

Awwww beautiful miss crunchie  pleased she is much better. She is a credit to her amazing mum!

She looks so gorgeous and I’m glad to hear she is slowly recovering (my piggies hazel and acorn are wishing her a full and speedy recovery - I am too)
