So earlier i placed my 10 week old new guinea pig, Meeka and my 18 week old existing guinea pig together to bond them after 2 weeks of quarantine for Meeka.
While in the play pen they were doing the normal dominance behaviour - Mounting, Butt sniffing, chin sniffing and only a little of who can raise their head higher. anyway i left them in there for about 2 hours and they were just eating together and there were a few squabbles when either of them sniffed at eachothers rear ends- they dont seem to like their backs being touched..
after the 2 hours, we placed them in the freshly cleaned cage with all the cleaned igloos, the thing is, there is still a bit of bickering going on when one walks into the others igloo, like them basically telling the other to get out or when the other sniffs at the others butt.
Basically is this all still a sign of dominance?
how long should it last?
There has not been any biting or nipping, just telling eachother off or chasing eachother :P
Is it alright to leave them together overnight?
thank you, any info on this will help me :)

Please leave out the pigloos for a day or two. After the initial acceptance phase, your girls are now in the middle of the dominance phase, which will last a few days to weeks. The dominance behaviours you are witnessing are very typical for this phase. Nothing whatsoever to worry about, but it is always a relief when the dominance phase is over and the girls having sorted out the shape their relationship is going to take to becoming friends... ;)

The dominant sow has the right to the best bedroom and food bowl etc, and she is exercising that right to reaffirm her position, including the right of chucking the other one out of her pigloo just for the sake of it. Two bowls, placed a body length apart and only hideys with two exits - in a pinch, a couple of tea towels pegged to the bars will do.

do you have any hideys that have two entrances so one can't get trapped inside or boxed in and panicked.A cardboard box with two entrances would be great or a tube

I have a box with 2 exits and another plastic igloo which also has 2 exits, also meeka has sprayed urine on Kali 2 times? is with normal when they first meet? and they both seem fine with sharing bottles, food dishes and everything apart from the houses aha :') thanks guys
