I was leaning towards the chartwell hutch (5 foot) but after reading some mixed views I'm now unsure. I was browsing home and roost and came across this. I don't know if this would be a decent option. I've also found another. There's also the great and small jumbo hutch from pets corner. Though I don't know how secure the latch closure it, and the inside was a little rough when I saw one in person. I'm looking for hutches I can buy covers for.

HELP please, this is a minefield!

The ladders look a bit steep in the 1st 2
I agree with what you 're saying about the latches in the 3rd hutch - but you could add something to padlock the doors.

I like the first two because they come with a run. But it seems the hutch can be separated off. I don't mind buying a run separate to the hutch.

I had the exact first hutch for my 3 boys when they were younger, it was spacious enough if I left the hatch open all the time for them to get downstairs whenever they wanted. They did struggle to get up the ramp though, so I put some carpet on it and then they were fine getting up it. The only thing I will say is the wood on the floors is quite thin and won't protect very well from any damp during autumn and winter months

I have a charwell hutch and find it quite narrow. Also the back is ply thin ply at that.

I dont use it as they are indoors. If I was to buy a hutch I would get one from Boyles pet housing. Built to last.

That's true. I'll think on that. With the first

@Piggy mum is that the chartwell or the Kendal hutch.

The thin ply is a worry as they'll be housed outside. I'm not sure how cosy it would be with a thin ply wall. Boyles is nice but way over my budget. By the time I add the extras it's almost £300.
The Hawthorne looks like plywood as well. The Kendal is 10mm Scandinavian timber, not sure if that's good or not. I may go with the one from pets corner and line it for ease of cleaning....

I like it, it is sturdy and mostly good quality, just the floors are very thin plywood is 9one of the downsides. If your pigs are going to live in it all year round I would think twice as the damp will come up through the floors it's so thin. It is a lovely hutch overall but I feel it's a bit pricey for what you actually get!
