I could do with opinions please. I have 2 pigs that have had and still have various health issues. They are ok now one is on heart medication forever. I have a very good vets practice 1 mile from my house and I don’t drive I usually get Ubers with my pigs in their carrier. I am on the verge of buying a dog stroller so I can push them, I would never do it if they were very ill but just for check ups in the ok weather ? Has anyone done this ? I don’t care about looking crazy that ship has sailed I just don’t want to annoy my pigs. Thanks

Our local vets is a 5min walk away. If the weather is ok I usually walk with the piggies in the carrier. Walking with the boys takes me longer, more like 15 mins hugging a cat carrier, usually covered in a blanket. I do get some strange looks as I talk to the boys as I walk down the street. The vets were still making humans wait outside last time, so I end up excusing myself to the que and knocking on the door to ask if the boys can wait inside.

I have one of these that I have used for my guinea pigs for fundraisers shows etc and I find them very good. I don't know how they would be going for an actual walk though, I've only had mine out walking properly once with one of my chihuahuas and it seemed fine though.

Thanks for your replies. I’m thinking this one but I would get a proper pram if I need to

I know people who take their rabbits in a stroller and they don't seem too bothered by it.

Placing them inside a cat carrier inside the stroller or pram would be the safest option. They probably would be quite happy with the movement, my Bill and Tex enjoyed travelling in the car, always very relaxed and chilled, you just need to make them cosy and feel secure and a few little treats (cucumber) and a bit of hay

I couldn’t contain myself and ordered that one I posted off Amazon, if its crap I’ll get a real pram. My pig who has been at the vets a lot recently is unbothered by everything she’s not like a normal skitty pig she’s really brave. My other girl might be a bit scared but she’s had very good health since last July when she had a bladder flush and I changed her diet. I’m hoping I’ll rarely need to use the stroller but I’ll be glad to have it there waiting. Thanks everyone

I think as long as they are in a regular hard carrier inside the pram/pet stroller they would be fine.
Keeping them in a hard carrier will be safer for the piggies, and make cleaning easier for you.

Don't forget to let us know how you get on.
Personally I think it's a great idea.

One girl loves the pram and one just isn’t sure. I decided to get fluffy blankets for them to match the pram. I put a puppy pad down first then a big blanket folded up then I put some of them little compressed hey bales in as they are much cleaner then just putting a handful of hey and some leaves and mini cucumber. Then I just put the other blanket on top of them and they seem happy. I put a little hot water bottle in the other day as it was 10 degrees outside when I took them for a walk. The one who I thought wouldn’t like it loves it and pops her head out to see what’s going on it’s so cute. They’ve been out 3 times now and I’m going to keep doing short walks to get them used to it. I’m so so glad I bought it it’s the best thing ever

That's actually a really cool idea! I bet they'll get lots of attention going for a nice walk in the pram! :)
