Hi,

I currently have two girls, a mother & a daughter pair. I like to get them out their Hutch for cuddles but me and my partner cuddle one each. I know guinea pigs get stressed if they are separated from their cage mate, does it stress them if me and my partner hold one each? Thanks x

How adorable! I think they'll be fine honestly, but it's not something I considered before. Hopefully someone else will have more insight on the matter. Your girls are so cute

It will be fine, especially if they can see eachother. Maybe hold them on your lap whilst sitting next to your partner so they can go to eachother if they really want to?

They should be okay, though you could try holding them both together as well. I have a habit of holding each individually because in my original pair, the dominant pig, Linney, would get aggressive with her cagemate if we held them at the same time. I'm pretty convinced that Linney thought we belonged to her and she didn't want to 'share' us with her cagemate. She was perfectly fine (if a little bossy!) with the other pig so long as we weren't interacting with her! LOL!
