Straw suitable bedding

I wouldn’t be asking but just saw this in Pets Corner

Straw, while more insulating than hay, is not suitable as a piggy bedding as it tends to be too spiky and can cause injury. It also contains no nutrition so while it won’t harm then if they eat it, it isn’t providing anything beneficial to them.
Hay is best all round

Chopped rapeseed oil bedding eg basic bliss,raviera is acceptable.longstranded barley straw is not,due to risk of causing eye pokes.

I’m a little bit disappointed by this. I admit to getting my four from pets corner and found them to be quite knowledgeable. However, I know that misinformation can still occur but is not necessarily at all branches.

I was browsing their site and found a harness that they suggest is suitable for guinea pigs
