Any one seen poop like this before? I can’t say I have personally! It was almost like it was light poop on top of normal poop?

I did change their pellets a few weeks ago, stupidly didn’t even think that I needed to do it slowly so now I’m worried I’ve messed her guts up a bit.
She’s also lost about 60g of weight over a week… would the pellets change of caused that? She seems to be happy eating hay / veg etc
I’ve changed the pellets back so will see if she improves her weight any

:agr:

Any change in diet should be done slowly, but Id be going on alert with that kind of weight loss in a week, it’ll be due to reduced hay intake. Switch to weighing daily and be prepared to step in with syringe feeding/popping a bowl of critical care in the cage, and see a vet

Thank you, yeah it did concern me that each weigh in was slightly less everytime :/
I did change their hay a few weeks ago too.
But it’s nicer Timothy hay and meadow hay as my normal bag of hay from the farm shop seemed to be dusty and smelly so I chucked it out.
Could that even be a possibility?

While piggies can be fussy, better quality hay should mean they eat more but you don’t need to change hay slowly like you would introduce new pellets or veg slowly
