Junior Guinea Pig
Hi!
First of all: we have been to the vet. She told us that Pikachu seems like a healthy piggie ("very well fed"). She also noticed he is a very active and determined little guy.
And yes, he acts very healthy to us. He's eating, pooping, playing and is such a little chaos of energy. He hasn't lose any weight and we can't see any signs of URI or cold. No crackling sounds in the breath, no snot etc etc. Well, now I'm just sounds crazy...
But the best way I can describe it is that it sounds like he has a bubble in his nose when he talks. I can't really say if I think he sounds like a little monkey or a hen?
Ofc I was thinking about the heart, but the vet says the heart and the breathing sounds perfectly fine (no he didn't monkeyhen-talk to her, but he decided she was good enough to pee on).
I did send the vet a sound recording of the "monkeyhentalk" and awaits response, but maybe someone here have a good suggestion? We haven't been to this vet before, she is an exotic vet and seemed very competent but you never know...
In the cage the guys has peepads, fleece and hemp in the houses and peepeeareas. They get fresh hay in the evening, and we only noticed Pikachu sound weird in the morning... When he sounds weird he still acts completely Pikachu and not bothered at all. Pikachu is now 9 months old and we heard he sound like this maybe a handful of times, with weeks or months in between. It's not a daily or even common thing, but these sensitive little animals...
Thanks for reading![Folded hands  🙏](https://cdn.jsdelivr.net/joypixels/assets/8.0/png/unicode/64/1f64f.png)
