I was checking my guinea pigs for fly strike as I’ve had many flies in my apartment due to the hot weather, I have 10 guinea pigs as two of them were misgendered when given to me so I had two pregnant Sows one of which in the pictures below (6 babies between the two of them), the babies are around 4 months old now. When health checking one of my sows Frazzle I saw this patch on her stomach which I have never noticed, it’s discoloured and there doesn’t seem to be any hair growing there she's also been kind of lethargic but I don't know whether it's due to the heat, a few of them have been acting like this too and it has got me really worried, I hope someone will be able to help me.

I've also included a cute picture of her :)

Aww what a cutie!

I'd get that checked by a vet, could be all sorts of things, a burst cyst maybe, or an abcess that's burst, but only a vet will be able to tell you for sure and provide appropriate treatment.

Good luck... She sure is cute! 😍

Thank you for your reply I going to try to book her in.
and yes I know I originally only had two boys (which I didn't know were boys) but this cutie had been stuck at a pet shop at the end of my road for months and I kept going to visit her and I caved in as no one seemed to buy her after months .... now I have 10 lmao!

I agree to having it checked out. It’s not really clear from the photo and it’s best not to guess at what it might be.

If you don't already have a vet that you use, i can recommend Ashleigh Vets in Chorlton. Ask to see one of the exotics vets.

Hope it's nothing serious and that your piggy is feeling better soon.
