Hi All, looking for some advice hopefully.

I'm not really sure how to word this or explain it but hopefully someone will know what I mean

Jasmine just done this really weird thing. The way i would explain it would be, her movement was like rapid hiccups (no noise like hiccup, cough etc) but coming from her hips and bum. She stands still when doing this. I thought she was maybe pooing but i didnt see her poo afterwards.

She carries on as normal afterwards like it never happened, eats very well, drinks, sleeps, popcorns. Even during it, she didn't really seem bothered.

I have only ever seen her do this once before and I have never seen any other guinea pig I have owned do this this either so I have no idea whats going on. I dont know if I could video it because its so random and only happened twice now

Thanks

Hi

Could it be what is called 'heaving hiccups'? It is basically hiccups (swallowing air) but the whole body is involved in getting them out. They are thankfully not all that common but they can really throw the unsuspecting owner.
