Hello,
I brought home a third sow approx 6 weeks old, a rescue from the rspca. She's been in with my other 2 sows for a week now and they seem to have bonded well. Nuzzling and chasing each other, lots of happy noises. When I went in to feed them this morning, the two older piggies were at one end of their pen and the baby was at the other, the two older ones were extremely apprehensive about going to the other side of the pen, stretching themselves out and sniffing the air, before quickly running away again, the little one is unphased and running around the whole of the pen. They are fine with the baby, she runs up to them and they nuzzle, a rumble from the older lead piggy and then continue to eat their hay/veg. I'm unsure of what has caused the other two older girls to be so sheepish all of a sudden. Is it something to be concerned about?
