Hi All!

Benji just confused us a little. I put him down on the floor for his run, and he was walking around fine and suddenly he stopped, held his front foot in the air until i approached him, he then walked off but was looking like he didn't want to put much weight on his right hand side. I picked him up and trimmed his nails, because they were due for it anyway, and after putting him down again he seemed to run, and walk fine, and behave normal, do you think his nails were causing him pain?

it sounds like something very minor in any case; impossible to say what has caused it.

He's done it twice since, sort of liftes his front foot and curled up a little bit and then wondered off? He seems fine in himself, pooing, weeing, he only seems to want to eat leafy greens though, no cucumber (which is his fav) Tomoatoe ect.. We've been looking online and wondered if We"ve been keeping them too warm, he is very hot behind the ears, I've also seen perhaps a trapped nerve?

As he is not limping, it is probably just a minor sprain somewhere that causes him to take the weight off his leg; you need to keep in mind that the front legs are actually the weight bearing ones. It is very normal for the to curl up and not necessarily an indication that the pain is in the foot.

The rest of your observations is simply a result of your being more observant than usual right now and is not connected.

He did spain his foot about 5 months ago, but the vet said he didnt need any inflammatories because it wasn't very swallow and would fix himself over time. When he does this weird thing he almost seems spaced out, which made us think a seizure, but his eyes are normal, so we ruled that out and also a stroke. He just seems to very spaced out? But we cooled him down and syringed him so water and he seemed much happier?

If you are worried, please see a vet. We cannot help you on that with just your description!

We did see a vet, he said he's healthy, his front foot might be causing him pain but he didn't want to prescribe painkillers for the sake of prescribing something. Other than that there was no infection, no signs of neurological issues or anything

We saw an exotic specialist today, who has given Benji a cocktail of medicent and there is already an improvement. This morning he was wobbling like hell and couldn't stand at all, we thought it was the end, but luckily are usually vets has a specialist in till January. He called us in and the moment he saw him told us not to panic at all. He said its either, a deep ear infection, a parasite messing with his brain ( began with E, dont rememeber the name) or he's banged his head. He's prescribed AB for the ear, some parasite killer, and Metacam incase he's swollen. He had the dose this evening and as of 10 mins ago, was strong enough to stand leaning against me and picked at some of his food. Right now its case of medicine and emergency feeding. He's still eating his own hay. Here's hoping he has the fight to fight this off.
