I noticed today for the first time one of my boys, Boris, trying consistently to mount Eddie  he was also sticking his nose in his bottom, much to Eddie's disapproval, there was a lot of squeaking!

Now I understand that this is a dominance thing and as such is not unusual. But what I noticed is that a lot of this occurs at the entrance to the sleeping area. It's obviously a bit of a bottle-neck. So I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to remove the panel between the sleeping area and main hutch. The main door for said sleeping area would still offer some visible protection for them and I would have individual hidey's in there for them. It seems to me it would give them a lot more room to move about and hopefully be a bit more chilled-out.

I would like to know peoples views on this. Thanks.

All my boys have gone through this behaviour- its not a problem until you have to clean off the gloop they deposit on each other !

How old are your boys? They will still mount etc. in other areas though if they are affectd by the big hormones and you will need the divider again come autumn/winter.

They are about 5 months old. I guess they behave like this when they are young.
