Hi all!

Not too sure if you can see the video uploaded in this fb group : https://m.facebook.com/groups/947036105687856?view=permalink&id=1368002800257849

My boar (2 years) has no problem with pooping out the hard poops. However when it comes to the cecal poop(soft ones which they injest), he will stay very still, bob his head up and down a few times, looks to be straining a little and sometimes squeaks before bending over to eat it.

This video is taken after he ate his first cecal poop (you can see him chewing on it) and about to get to his 2nd one.

He is still eating and begging and peeing as per normal.. pee is a little on the white side so I'm cutting down on calcium.. other than that, there's no big warning signs to rush him to the vet.

Does anybody have any similar experience?

Thanks!

Your video link doesn’t work. You’re better off uploading it on YouTube or something similar then posting that link here. I would take him to the vet if he’s straining and squeaking.

Sent him for an xray and the vet said that there is no stones.. anybody else have any advice please?

You need to go by what the vet says. What did he say is the next course of action?

The vet told me to go to an exotic vet..
And it seems like my other guinea pig is starting to show similar symptoms like squeaking while pushing out cecal poo.
Has anyone experienced spmething similar please?

You need to get them both to the exotic vet for a check. Have you been able to book them in yet?

There are members who have experienced similar, but you need to see the vet to know the next step, and for any diagnosis.

Hello! Did you ever get a diagnosis about this? My piggy has similar symptoms.

This is a very old post and the OP hasn’t logged back on in over a year. If you start your own new thread, then we can offer you ongoing help specific to your case.
