Storing hay outside

My question is about storing hay outside in the cold in Canada.
Will it mould if it is in a sealed container outside?
Anyone with experience regarding this topic?

All suggestions welcome.

You may be better asking this in Guinea lynx as this forum is predominantly uk based and storing outside here is uncommon due to our damp weather….

I store in a shed, in a hay bag and have never had any issues with quality
but i'm in the UK and winter isnt as intense as it is where you are
