My girls aren't big chewers, but they have taken a particular liking to this type of toy:

They have chewed down to the core and I've noticed that there are pieces of glue which they could easily pull off and consume. Is it safe for them to keep using the toy if there is glue showing?

I'm assuming there must be some kind of law enforcing pet companies to use pet-safe glue, but I wanted to make sure. Should I just throw it away to be safe?

If it is made of pet-safe glue, what are these "safe" glues made of?

I have often wondered about this. I bought a wooden platform for my piggies this week and when I got it home and unwrapped it the top had bits of glue on it. I was a bit concerned about it so haven't given it to them.

I think once it gets down to the glue, I'd bin it, I wouldn't take the risk with them nibbling it!
;)
