Good Afternoon

I'm new to the group, this is my first post so please be kind! :-)
We are the new owners of two lovely Teddy Guinea Pigs Coco and Cookie, they are very tame - eat healthy and have lots of toys and chews to play with.

One problem - They keep chewing the wood on their house! Can anyone recommend the best way to stop this - I wondered if there was an "Anti-Chew" spray that is safe for them or anything like that?

Kind Regards
Craig

Welcome to the forum, I can't wait to see pigtures of your girls. I'm afraid I have no advice as my boys are in a C&C but someone else will surely know.

Welcome to the forum!

The reality is, you can’t stop it but hopefully they’ll get bored of doing it in time.
They are chewing animals and will chew whatever they can get their teeth into. Give them plenty of hay and other items to chew such as apple sticks but they are still likely to chew their hutch. If you do find such anti-chew sprays (which I’m not sure even exist) but if you do, I would not recommend you use them. There lots of things sold which simply either aren’t a good idea or aren’t safe.

Hello and welcome from Swindon. Give them plenty of hay and maybe a hay cube or carrot cottage to try and keep them occupied. You could also willow balls. My boys don’t bother with these but other piggies on here love them.
