Hello! I have 2 piggys, Rexi and Snowflake, few days ago i noticed Rexi is in pain when she try urinate and there is blood presence as well. I took her to the vet and after the ultrasound they find out she have a stone in the urethra so obviously she need surgery they said she need to go some special hospital and could be more than £800 to remove the stone, at the moment I can’t afford they said try some charity but I don’t know where to start and how is this working.
Anyone have a good advice where to bring her?(where I don’t have to pay thousands for a surgery)
What is the experience for you guys?
I attached a pic about her and the stone
I'm living in Hertfordshire area, so something in the surrounding. :)
Thank you!

I’m sorry to hear she is unwell.

The charity is the PDSA. I don’t know how it works but you can look them up online, find contact details and give them a call.

I hope she makes a good recovery from her surgery

Good luck and I hope you can get your girl the treatment she needs. Let us know how you get on.

I checked online if I'm eligible for it and turned out no because I'm not living on benefits, but the current Covid situation is the problem i lost my job next month end and until then I'm furloughed, since March I'm lost 20% off my salary every month, I don’t know its enough for charity now. Maybe if i ring them and tell them what is my situation they will be able to help. Worth a try to save my furry potato. :/

Definitely phone them, speaking to someone rather than an online checker may be more helpful.
If you aren’t eligible for charity help, do you have somebody who can help you with the vet costs?

Also consider speaking to the vet about whether they can set up a payment plan for you. If someone is able to help you at least pay a lump sum then maybe they could allow you to pay off the balance little by little. Sorry you’re in this situation, I hope you find a solution soon.

No, nobody can help sadly. Its all on me 💪

I don’t know if it’s an option but try and ring the other vets to see how much they would charge and whether they could do a payment plan. Otherwise I’m not sure what you can do really.
