Hi all

Ive had my piggies for about 8 weeks now. They have Tulip Cottage from Pets at Home which is 2 tier with a ramp. They have never used it, i have to ferry them up and down.

I wonder if they dont understand the concept or if its simply too steep for a GP?

Would be grateful for any help/advice. Thank you

What is the surface of the ramp like. A lot of cages or hutches have ramps that are ok for rabbits bot not for piggies. I always put strips of carpet tile or door mat of similar thickness. If he ramp is open then also add sides to it to prevent a piggy falling of if one is rushing up as another is coming down. You could also try a trail of veggies on the ramp.

Thank you. Its wooden and quite smooth it does have raised groove things but they are really far apart. Reckon its been designed for rabbits :(

Fleece ramp tunnels worked a treat for my boys. Slowed down the maniac who whizzed too fast up & down the ramp risking falls. Got the boy who refused to use the ramp to use it immediately the tunnel was installed.

Hi, we used lolly sticks stuck to the ramp and then mixed sand into Pet friendly varnish to seal them, it lasted years (I think about 8 years, I got my first girlies for my 5th b'day and had them in to my teens).
