End of next week I will probably have a first attempt of spraying stencils
(first on paper to see if I can, then eventually on fabric, I want to spray some fleur de lys on bunting)

Now I have never done this before and as there are alot of people doing crafts on this forum I wondered if you have any good advice on what spray to get, or what to avoid or what is a MUST for preparation?

Would love some advice :)

Go for it O0 best of luck! Post some pictures after O0
Hmmmm save an old newspaper and cover the floor or wall with that before you spray ;)
I've never done it before so I don't know much about the spray lol sorry

Best of luck though O0

Have you got a Hobbycraft close by they have great stuff in there. Not a craft type myself but I love hand made stuff. The last three wedding invitations I have had were hand made they were fantastic. Are you making yours?

No, I have done my wedding invitations some time ago.

the invitation, the menu, and a little note about what to wear and when to get back to us with the menu choices,
were all included in a golden tube and then sent out :)

But I want to do the decorations for outside now. So i thought about getting bunting off Ebay:

And spray a golden Fleur de Lys on it, to make it go with our theme...

Now obviously I dont want to screw this up, so I would really appreciate any advice I can get :)

Does anyone have any idea on how to make stencils look good?

As in, how do I have to press the paper to the fabric to spray it? do I just lay it loosely on it or do I have to weigh it down with something?

How long do I have to let the spray dry before it wont smudge anymore? Do I let the spray dry before I take the stencil paper off the fabric, or can I remove the paper straight away and THEN let the spray dry?

what spray to use?

is there waterproof spray?

Is there material that the spray will stick on better than on others?

Questions questions questions... :(
