Oi! Today is going to be quite eventful for the piggies.

Everyones getting temporary new cages.

This is how it is now:

Squiggles and Apollo - Shallow bin cage

Cupcake, mookie, and Clover: Ten gallon tank with ramp system.

and this is how it's going to be:

Squiggles and apollo: C&C Grid cage (Hopefully 4x5 with half of an upper story. I might have to close off the upper portion if I can't find enough material to make a lining so they don't urinate everywhere)

Mookie and clover: C&C cage, same set up as with the boys except no upper story for now. Mookie injured her foot and I don't want to risk the chance of her hurting it again.

Cupcake: Shallow bin cage so she can be placed by herself for optimum diet needs and relaxation.

Pros:

Everyones happy!

Cons:

The mess. Oh the mess is going to be horrid.

The girls and momma will be getting a cage together here soon after the new litter (and I make sure everyones going to get along)

Room.
I have no room! XD

And finally, the worst part: Lining.

Apollo and squiggles LOVE to burrow. So, I'll have to get my sewing skills out and make a lining. Not looking forward to that, at all.

Any suggestions?

Can i be nosey & ask what a shallow bin cage is x

Yesm! I don't know exactly what to call them but they're these things:

[ame]http://www.amazon.com/Super-Pet-First-Home-Large/dp/B0002AS42Y/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1312642993&sr=8-4[/ame]

We've always called them Shallow bins because they're basically shallow trays with wire on top Oxo

Sounds like they will all be very happy. Good luck with Mum and babies. Hope the boys get on better with more space. Ah yes one of those cages, then I'm not surprised they were getting on each others nerves. They aren't very big. Hope the moving all goes smoothly.

Looks like everything is going to be put off. @)

What I thought was water sealed plywood down in the basement- was cardboard. . . Now it's a wait for some of this really awesome clear plastic stuff. They have it in huge 10 foot sheets in the UK I hear. I'm trying to find it in the US Now. I can't quite remember what it's called but I remember it starts with a 'c' .

I'm stocking up on guinea pig stuff when I get some money :C This includes fleece and - COROTHERM! That's what it's called. Corotherm...
