Woke up this morning to hear Stanley cracking away. I think he has a respiratory infection so off to the vets for 10:25 appt. I hope he’ll be ok. I’ve only had him for three weeks and Ronnie his companion has been through so much.

Aw, poor little Stanley, I he recovers from his illness very quickly x

Poor Stanley. He's such a lovely boy! These things can come on very quickly. Hope he gets on alright at the vets. Let us know what the vet says.

Poor Stanley. Hope you get on ok at the vets. Well done for catching whatever it is so quickly.

All the best at the vets. Get well soon Stanley.

Thanks for your support everyone. The vet has prescribed Baytril for a possible mild respiratory infection. If the noises continue we may have to go down the dental route. Stanley has eaten some forage and pellets and appears to be eating hay. I’ll weigh him daily and check in on him regularly day and night. I’ll get a carrot in the morning for my six to share and I’ll monitor Stanley to make sure his eaten the carrot ok which may indicate whether the issue is dental or not. He is bright eyed and his nose is dry. I’m hoping that he will be ok and will keep you posted

Oh poorly Stanley.
Sorry to hear he's under weather. . Hope meds and tlc soon get him better.
Well done for prompt action. X

I hope that the antibiotic will do the trick.

Keep in mind that the pollen output over the weekend has been rather high between the warmer weather and a breeze. Some piggies can be sensitive to it.

Try and see whether a bowl of steaming water next to the cage can ease the symptoms.

Great idea thanks 😁

All the signs are good so far. The noise is quieter and less frequent. Stanley ate a green bean and salad pepper. I’ve seen him eat some hay but as you know that’s difficult to gauge. He has also eaten his table spoon of pellets. Will keep a very close eye on him and will keep you posted. Thanks again for your support. It’s great knowing you understand
