Stained pigloo, cleaning.

Hi all, my boys love their little pigloos to sleep in but they get so mucky. They get a spray and wipe with GP friendly disenfectant every day and fresh hay. Obviously there isnt time to scrub them both clean every day and they have become quite stained. I have tried everything to get it off but it's well stuck. Anyone have any suggestions?

I know soda crystals are used to clean sinks and whatnot, but you could try a teaspoon of soda crystals in cold water, and leave for an hour, then rinse well, it worked very well getting the stains of the boys tubes

I normally use white vinegar and a scouring pad. Seems to do the job.

My vet recommends Milton for cleaning pig items, it's great for cleaning stains off things too (once you can immerse it for a little while), you can find it in the baby section of supermarkets, it's totally safe for pigs: it breaks down to water and salt. I sterilise my bottle spouts in it: also, you can make it up with cold water, so it doesn't warp the plastic of pigloos

Yeah, vinegar is amazing, i use it to get up hamster pee stains - which glue themselves to the side!
