New Born Pup
My poor girl had a hay pike last night. We got the hay out, but she’s still squinting. It’s been about 10 hours since then. Should I take her to the vet?

Yes please take her to the vet. Any hay poke (even if you have got the hay out) needs a vet check as eyes a deteriorate quickly.

Thank you! All of the veterinary clinics are closed right now (it’s a Sunday). So I’m gonna call the vet as soon as it opens! Also, should I schedule an emergency appointment or a checkup?

It will be an urgent appointment. For eyes any vet will do, they don't need to be a specialist.

Update: I have called an animal eye doctor. They have an opening for tomorrow morning!
