All the best! I hope that you can get to the bottom of her respiratory problems.

Sadly specialist vet care is anything but cheap. :(
I've just spent that amount of money in one month between Barri's IBS flare and Teggy's mahoosive emergency urethral stone removal and subsequent bloating issues, so I feel for you. As soon as I get my new salary, I will need to apply for more gut drugs for Barri again... Teggy has thankfully made a full recovery.

Fingers crossed they get to the bottom of the problem!

From one Mum of a Spud to another...hope all goes well for you and your piggy tomorrow. X

Yes it’s cost over a £1000 now the scan was really really good very revealing shows she’s had blocked ears from birth respiratory system was clear so damage was done threw pets home when I original rescued her from them and she had pneumonia she’s young but they found arthritis in her shoulders a tiny stone so I’m going to start the oxanbow treats for urinary tracts she’s on Zithromax and ear drops both ears trying to get rid of infection she’s a happy little piggy dispute all her problems we rescan at the royal vets college on 7 th jan if ears have started to clear then she won’t need a op if they have jo Healy who is world renounced for what she does and has been amazing with drain and clean her ears .. I’m hoping we have improvement as she had a funny turn after the last scan .. sorry for late reply I’ve had pickle with headtilt which we have brought back from near death to healthy piggy and spud pickle was 24 hour care

Love the name she liookd like a punk she was going to be called coco she looks like spudnic a 80 band with spiked hair xx❤️ Adore her thank you

Spud is very lucky to have you as her mum. I am pleased that you posted the costs of the scan and subsequent medication. It reiterates the importance of having a fund to treat animals when they are unwell. It breaks my heart to read posts about sick piggies and their owners cannot afford to take them to the vets . I wish you and gorgeous spud a happy and healthy time together 😁

I agree all animals cost money to care for no matter how big or small pickles head tilt cost £680.00 for 12 weeks Baytril meta cam ear drop draining vets appointments which had to be weekly that’s without the waking every 4 hours to feed her first 4 days she went from one picture to the next very quickly my vets said was very very rare fir anyone to bother to treat a small furry because it’s cheaper to replace them which she said even for a vet is heart breaking to think x

Yes I agree, it doesn’t matter what size they are, they all deserve the very best of treatment and important members of our families. Hope everything goes well for your piggies in 2021

I agree - if we take on an animal we take the responsibility to care for them.
My previous vet used to get upset with people who thought guinea pigs were disposable so it wasn't worth paying vet bills.

Mine gets upset to now she’s treated pickles she’s treated 3 other piggies that would of been put to sleep by encouraging owners that it can be done ❤️ With a little care attention and a little money
