The boys are both a little over a year old now. Walter has always been a bit smaller because he's younger, but has been a bit cocky with his rumblestruts and little man syndrome. I think Gus has taken enough of his swagger now and it looks like I'm in for a rough couple of days while they sort out who is the big kahuna of the cage.
Gus is chasing Walter and humping him with a lot of enthusiasm. It started to get a bit tense so I removed the pigloos so Walter couldn't get trapped and lash out.
But Gus cornered him a few times and they had a tumble around. No biting has been involved, just a lot of rumbles and mounting.
I've moved them into the kitchen where they usually have their floor time so they have a lot more room for their....debate.
Fingers crossed they don't have a big fight. I've got a towel at the ready and the spare cage already set up....just to be safe. :soz:

Good luck with it. Unfortunately I had to split my brothers at 7 months due to Edgar and his little man syndrome. Poe flipped and retaliated. .. unfortunate for Edgar as Poe is big! Biting and blood followed one day whilst out....tried to rebond but Edgar isn't having any of it. I am lucky however that they are happy living side by side now and have a little bit of mounting at playtime but apart from that they seem to be ok and can happily share the floor. I hope they resolve it with no bloodshed. Experiences from here and advice given to me is that it's rarely resolvable after blood has been spilt.

There's not much difference in weight between them so it's anyone's game so far. I'm just trying to keep my distance while they sort it out. All I can do is give them as much space as I can and keep an eye out for biting.
They've had a little break to much on some kale and seem happy enough to sit by each other until the next round.

Love the name of the video - it really looked like The Great Pig-Off! Also looked like it ended in a draw. Chasing, mounting, nose-offs is something my boys still do occasionally after almost 3 years together, I hope that's all it remains with your two.

Well usually Gus is really calm when Walter is bum wiggling and generally annoying him. So I was a bit nervous when he started chasing him round. In the end, I had to go to bed and leave them to it. Came down this morning to calm piggies sat together in the hay box. I think Gus may have won because I've not heard a peep out of Walter. So glad they seem to have sorted it out without any extreme drama :D it would have broke my heart to separate them as they are so comical together and clear partners in crime!
