I think my guises pig has sprained her leg she’s not putting much weight on it and keep it up most of the time she’s still eating and drinking doesn’t seem to hurt her when I touch it any suggestions I am going to the vet next week as that’s the only appointment I could get she’s seems fine in herself if it is a sprain will it heal on it’s own

Next week is a long time to wait if she is in discomfort (the fact she won’t put weight on signifies it is sore). Perhaps you could call them each day and see if they have had any cancellations.

If it is minor soft tissue damage then it will heal but anti-inflammatory pain killers may well be needed to make her more comfortable

Thank you she seems herself eating and drinking they are contacting me tomorrow doesn’t hurt when I touch it

It’s good she is eating. Do remember that piggies hide their pain so even if it seems like it doesn’t hurt wheh you touch it, it may well still be hurting her but her prey instincts won’t allow her to show that. The fact she isn’t putting weight on it means it is indeed hurting her. Hopefully the vets can fit you in for her to be seen.
