New Born Pup
Hello! My vet has reccomended using Spot On for my two pigs. We’ve used it before and it seemed to help for a while but the mites are back. She’s suggested we try it 2 or 3 times with 2 weeks between each treatment. My question is this: we’ll treat our guinea pigs, but at which point of the treatment should we blitz their cage and disinfect everything? They currently have a proper cage clean every 3 days but obviously we need to be pretty thorough to make sure we get any eggs etc and don’t want to waste any spot on (or my piggies patience) on doing it in the wrong order! So do we:
1. Take them out, clean and disinfect the cage and everything in it, treat them, and put them back in.
2. Take them out, treat them, put them back in, and clean and disinfect the cage a day or two later.
3. Take them out, clean and disinfect the cage and everything in it, treat them, put them back in, then clean and disinfect the cage fully again the next day.
4. Some other option?
And also how on earth do you disinfect wooden houses?
Any tips greatly appreciated!
