Spot Cleaning

I am new to having 2 guinea pigs and the amount that they poo everyday. I Got them on thursday night and just done a spot clean. They are woodshavings and not litter trained yet but i have plans to do it with them in there new cage.

How does everyone do there spot cleaning with 2 or more pigs, I know to change the wet areas,(Need to train mine to go in one corner rolleyes )

I take it is just a case of picking out all the poos, Mine are like poo machines lol

I scoop out wet/pooing bedding and replace it with fresh stuff. They poo everywhere but only wee in certain places, so where I know they're likely to go I put extra bedding. When I had them on fleece I was cleaning the cage (sweeping poos up) twice daily but now they're on bedding I think it's only gonna be a few times a week

I use an old dustpan and brush and sweep out the poos in the morning, and again at night. Mine are on vetbed so I don't need to put down fresh bedding afterwards.

I use fleece and have a dustpan and brush that I used to use but I now use my little handheld vacuum. The girls weren't too pleased with it at first but Betty isn't too bothered now and will occasionally follow it round as I am vacuuming, Bertha hides but to be fair Bertha hides most of the time!

Also, if you successfully litter train your piggies could you let me know how, mine used just use the litter tray but have seriously regressed!
