Morning everyone.
I have recently decided to switch from sawdust to fleece for my girls. I found it really easy to spot clean when i had sawdust by using kitchen roll to pick up the mess. I am finding this quite hard to do now on fleece. I tried using the hoover to hoover up poos etc, but almost sucked the fleece up the hoover.
So what do you think of this for cleaning away the poos on the fleece?

My girls are indoor. I will (on cleaning day) take the fleece out and shake it but i thought this might be a good idea for a quick tidy?

what do you use to spot clean on a daily basis?

what about just a dustpan and brush? x

didn't think of that. I seem to have a habit of making life more difficult for myself. i think i really just want an excuse to but a tiny pink hetty hoover lol xx

I forgot to add that on cleaning day i will shake it then wash it, not just shake it and put it back in again incase anyone thinks that x

I use a cat litter scoop. Turn it over and the flat edge like a rake then scoop. I didn't get on with a brush as the poop kept pinging up in my face. rolleyes

haha me too. Maybe i will get hetty as i don't fancy being pinged in the face with poo lol x

:)):)) Poop causes much laughter here. It gets everywhere. I found one on the mantelpiece once and I swear that they wait til after I hoover and then slingshot them across the room. :(|)

I use a mini sweeper which is a hand held manual sweeper thingy. It came free with my swivel sweeper from thane direct so I'm not sure you can get them on their own in the UK but they sell them in the US (top of this link):

I also sometimes use my Dyson DC35 but it can lift the fleece if its a light fleece...

I like the look of the pink hetty though :))

x

Update - you can get them in the UK here :

That desktop hoover is rubbish hun..i had one in christmas stocking and it dosnt even pick up the dust from keyboard.

I use a hand held vax but for spot cleaning, rubber gloves :)
Know what you all mean about poops, found one in my shoe recently and one in the car :{ - hadn't had the piggies in there. I'm known to often go to work as well with hay in my hair :(|)

I also use a dustpan and brush, Pickle likes to chew the bristles though :{.

I had thought about putting the dog in as he does a splendid job of keeping the floor clean. @) & :{ again, what is it with my animals, I do feed them with correct food, honest. :))
