spot cleaning and how often

I am a new guinea pig owner and i know you should completely clean out the cage once a week but how often do i spot clean the cage (as in take out the poos but not the wood shavings). please reply as fast as possible so you could help me out. thx :woot::woot::woot::woot::woot:
 
Hi, spot cleaning should be done at least once a day. Some people spot clean twice a day but that's up to you. Make sure to remove and replace wet or soiled hay too :)
 
I spot clean at least twice a day.
 
It should definitely be done once a day.

I do mine once a day (in an evening) but in winter I try to do it twice a day as mine live in a shed and I don’t want any damp hay hanging about in the shed/hutch which could make them cold

I've never managed to clean them out once a week. Usually feel it needs done sooner. Probably depends on your set up.
