I may have to keep my boys permanently separated if re-introductions fail whenever I pluck up the courage to try, so my only real option is to extend my 2X4 C&C so that I can separate them with some cubes (I did contemplate re-homing Badger but I've decided I couldn't part with him, I love him too much!).

Does anyone have any pictures of their cages where they've had to do this or know of the rough size I will need to make this realistically work?

Thank you, once again! :)

Mine is two cages next to one another, but it shows you how close I have my boars and theres no problem. As you see they even all sleep near one another.

And here you can see how I split one boys cage up when the two fell out

I extended Corey's cage slightly as the cage was initially smaller (the white piggie)

That looks brilliant! Exactly what I need to go for I think, as they love to see each other and chat, but not share space rolleyes What is the dimension of the cage for each pair or group of boars?

Good luck!
Hope they can make friends again but if not I'm sure they'll still enjoy each others company....just separately. x

I'm hoping to make a 3X4 split in the middle in the new year when I get enough money to buy more correx, although I'm hoping that they can make up, they used to love each other so much :( Boys!

This is now their current set up:

I know that the size for each is a little small, however the cage Badger was in was less then ideal so Boris had to sacrifice some space! :P

I know how you feel I have my boys in a C&C split too and it is a fraction smaller than ideal but i will be expanding it for them asap, they seem happy enough thought they still communicate with each other loads and run around they occassional chew bars but they have always done that anyway. When I eventually move house (fingers crossed sooner rather than later) I will build them a small loft each and extend them by hopefully another square either wide or long depending on space.

Oh gosh! i've been looking for help on this for ages!. glad I'm not the only person with the same problam, this is what ive had to do, i want to change the cage so they got more room but still be abel to see each other but got limited space!.. i need correx but dont have a clue what size to get, its all abit belly up! I'm moving house soon and cant make my mind up what to do! any suggestions please?

I got correx sheets on ebay. They gave the measurements in the description.

Hi, I have been reading this post with interest, I currently have three boars all 5 months old. The currently get on fine unless I move them to a smaller cage with cleaning their big one and put a house in it, as Rory will chase Davros out the house. Remove the house remove the problem. I think it's just cos it's a small space. It is only used when I deep cleaning of their cage. Anyway, if this is a sign of things to come I will need to split them up. I have a c and c cage on order (wish it would hurry up) and was thinking about making it double layer should they not get on. The c and c cage will give them more room anyway, with more places for them to hid away from each other, so fingers crossed. But this post has given me lots of ideas, thank you all. Piggywiggys I love the fact your cages are mirrored.
