Spinny Pig 😎

Amazing! how long did it take to train her?

Not that long at all, maybe a few minutes a day for about a week? She seemed to catch on to it very quickly. At first I just guided her in a circle with a veggie while saying "spin" so she would connect the action with the word and she eventually just started spinning when she only heard the word. I think she also just happens to be the type of pig who is more willing to do it compared to other piggies. She never showed reluctance or disinterest in doing it. She is a very high energy pig, so maybe it's a good way for her to get some energy out 😀

I didn't really either, Hexi seemed like a rather rambunctious and clever piggy so I just decided to try to teach her something one day. I looked up guinea pig tricks after the fact and this is apparently one of many things you can teach them. Like I said, I think it takes a very specific kind of piggy. I think there are some piggies who just wouldn't understand, but I think the majority of piggies out there probably would understand, but just don't want to do it or find it worth the effort. It's very obvious when they don't want to do it too, so I never forced anything. I think Hexi's sister Witchfinder could do if she wanted to, but she definitely prefers to just be handed the lettuce, which is perfectly fine as well 😀
